Analysis: MA AMN CHPT COST VZ URI VMC ELV LMT AXON AMD CS

Earlier today we held our Action Alerts PLUS October Members-Only CallThanks to all the members that tuned into the live broadcast, and tor those that couldn't be with us, be sure to check out the replay that you can access here.

The call was once again hosted by TheStreet's Editor-in-Chief Sara Silverstein, who started the conversation off with questions about the current market technicals and Fed policy for Bob, about the current fundamental landscape for Chris Versace, including what he would have to hear in the September-quarter earnings season to become more bullish about the market.

We also discussed some of the portfolio's highlights during September, including its overall performance and specific wins, including AMN Healthcare (AMN) and ChargePoint (CHPT)  , but also some of the things we could have done better. While we outperformed the S&P 500 in September and over the last year, there is more work to be done.

Running through the portfolio's holdings, we shared that we are getting incrementally bullish on Mastercard (MA) shares at the current level, and that our shopping list continues to include Costco (COST) , Verizon (VZ) , United Rentals (URI) , Vulcan Materials (VMC) as well as newer positions in Elevance (ELV) , Lockheed Martin (LMT) and now Axon Enterprise (AXON) .

We also discussed our current Three rating on Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) , how members should use the AAP Rating systems and other factors to consider when exiting a position, including cost basis.

Other topics included our thoughts on solar stocks, the potential fallout with Credit Suisse (CS) , and what keeps us up at night. For Bob it is the Fed and its current hawkish policy, for Chris it's making sure the portfolio isn't caught with flat footed when the eventual bull market returns.
